In spite of today being a working day and it rained early morning, the chapel at the Petaling Jaya Methodist Trinity Church was filled to the brim.

Mr. Yong’s children Hon Cheong, Wai Yin and Kin Cheong extend their appreciation to MBSKL, the Alumni and all who have given their support and condolences during this bereavement.

In the eulogies, it would appear that for Mr. Yong, the Methodist Boys’ School and the Methodist Church were his pre-occupation.

He is the last of the true blue MBSKL headmasters. One who went to school there, taught there, supervised there, became the headmaster there, then retired whist on the job there. Even after retirement, his involvement with the Alumni never stopped.
